Private Lives posterby Noel Coward

Thursday 14th to Saturday 23rd February, The Swan Theatre
Worcester Live box office: 01905 611 427

The play

Private Lives revolves around divorced couple, Amanda and Elyot, both recently remarried to new partners, Victor and Sybil respectively. Having inconveniently found themselves occupying adjacent suites at the same hotel for their honeymoons, the audience can only look on as the “private lives” of the divorced couple draw them back together.

This is one of Coward’s best loved and most sophisticated comedies, crackling with blisteringly clever lines and satirizing a 1930s morality of love which isn’t so far removed from the mores of the 21st century.
