The play
Twelve scenes chronicle the love affairs, rivalries, seductions and betrayals of four characters who all stumble into — or meddle with — the lives of one another.
An award-winning play of sexual passion and betrayal, Patrick Marber writes like a master. Closer is deeply felt, painful, sad and wise, punctured with occasional black humour. The style is witty, slick and urbane. It is sometimes coarse, sometimes obscene, but anyone who has loved and lost or experienced infidelity or felt love die, will watch this play with stomach churning pangs of recognition.
Alice — Suzie Davies
Anna — Amber Bluck
Larry — Jonathan Scott
Dan — Jim Ballard
Director — Math Jones

Just a brief word to thank everyone involved in ‘Closer’ for their support, enthusiam, inspiration and hard work.
The cast and crew have been brilliant and a real pleasure to work with, technical support has been exceptional, and I am immensely proud of what we were able to achieve.
My thanks also to all who came to see it, helping us to achieve approx. 75% capacity over the run.
I certainly hope to direct for STAC again, if they’ll let me. In the meantime, see you for ‘Humble Boy’.
Math
