Do you run theatre groups or classes for children?
STAC don’t but Worcester Live (who run the theatre) and WODS (another local amateur group) both do. Check out Worcester Live’s youth theatre page or the WODS site.

Do you offer acting or performance training for adults?
Not as such although being involved in a production can be a great way to gain experience and see how others do it.

Worcester College of Technology run an acting course which several of our members have undertaken. Check out their website.

How much does membership cost and what would I get in return?
Membership currently costs £25 per year (£5 for students/unwaged on production of evidence) . This is reduced by 50% for anyone joining during after 1st December.

As a member you will receive a newsletter about 10 times per year and have the opportunity to work on a variety of shows with some interesting people as well as attend social events etc.

In what ways could I get involved?
We require not only actors but people to carry out a long list of tasks including:

  • sound and lighting
  • props
  • wardrobe
  • directing
  • set design and building
  • publicity and marketing

When/how often do STAC meet?
We don’t have a regular meeting time as such but hold occasional social events to help members who are not currently involved in a production to stay in touch. We hold approximately two rehearsals per show per week in evenings and at weekends.

I’d like to volunteer for bar work at the theatre/ stewarding shows etc. Who should I contact about this?
‘Front of house’ duties such as stewarding, bar work, selling programmes etc are organised by Worcester Live and mostly run by volunteers. Go to their website for contact details or email info@worcesterlive.co.uk.
